Commercial refrigeration to exceed $59 billion by 2030

The commercial refrigeration sector is set for significant expansion in the coming years. According to Refindustry data based on an analysis by Research and Markets, the market value will rise from $45.9 billion in 2025 to $59.6 billion in 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of 5.3%.

The increase is mainly driven by growing demand for fresh and frozen food, the expansion of supermarkets and large-scale retail distribution, and the growth of the hospitality and foodservice sectors in emerging economies. In particular, the development of international restaurant and hotel chains is creating new opportunities for high-capacity commercial refrigeration solutions.

Green and smart solutions

The market is also benefiting from technological advances: more energy-efficient systems, low environmental impact refrigerants and smart solutions are becoming standard in response to sustainability and performance requirements. Manufacturers are increasingly aiming to balance reduced energy consumption with optimized performance.
