REFRIGERA is the exclusive event in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean Area dedicated to the entire cold industry: cooling-refrigeration, freezing food and cryogenics. In short, technically, everything that is produced or manufactured, processed, stored or transported from around 4 °C to -273,15 °C (theoretically!), but more generally, energy management solutions and systems that are coherent and effective in comprehensively solving the broader problem of energy management for customers.

Following the resounding success of the first four editions, REFRIGERA 2027 will continue to grow, occupying the three pavilions of the Bologna Exhibition Center—Halls 29, 30, and the Mall—alongside new areas with events in synergy with each other.
Great emphasis will be placed on cooling technologies and solutions, including process, industrial, and commercial cooling, which is becoming increasingly important as an integral and complementary part of the systemic offerings of companies and industry professionals.
Another new feature of REFRIGERA 2027 will be the focus on the new role of industry professionals—particularly refrigeration technicians—who are increasingly called upon to solve problems related to the entire “thermal cycle” within companies and plants, and therefore to propose coherent and effective energy management solutions and systems to comprehensively address the broader issue of energy management within client companies.
Furthermore, at REFRIGERA 2027, an increasingly large area – SURGELA – will be dedicated to technologies and systems for the production, processing, and preservation of frozen foods: pretreatment, processing, packaging, and storage technologies, as well as equipment, materials, and services.
The cryogenics sector will also be well represented at REFRIGERA 2027, both with the presence of major exhibitors and with dedicated conference sessions.
In addition to the industrial, commercial, and logistics refrigeration industries, REFRIGERA will increasingly address the cooling industry in general, developments in energy management, the food freezing industry, and the cryogenics sector.
Furthermore, following the success of the 2025 edition, the second edition of the APPLITECH event, dedicated to appliance manufacturing technologies, will take place concurrently.
