Data Centers: Daikin and NTT DATA Turn to AI to Cut Cooling Energy Use and Costs

French group Syclef is accelerating its international expansion by entering the Romanian market through a strategic partnership with Unicool Group, a company specialised in commercial refrigeration systems. The agreement marks Syclef’s first direct presence in Romania and is part of its growth strategy focused on Central and Eastern Europe.
The transaction, which is subject to approval by the Romanian Competition Council and the Commission for the Screening of Foreign Direct Investments, strengthens SYCLEF’s position in a region considered increasingly strategic for the professional refrigeration sector.
A local partner with extensive sector experience
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Cluj County, Unicool Group operates through two companies, Unicool Instalatii Frig and Acsa Coolteam, both active in the design, installation and management of commercial refrigeration solutions for the Romanian market.
The founders of the two companies will retain an ownership stake and continue to lead operations and future development, ensuring continuity in management and in relationships with customers.
